Webster’s dictionary defines this as “the state of being away from a place or person.”
I find an interesting paradox to be true—we may be interacting regularly in a superficial way. I call this the “checked-box syndrome.”
Conversely, we can appear isolated yet be more connected to the world around us in an energetic way.
In the state, we call “absence,” many things become clear.
We are better able to gauge the authenticity and sincerity of communication between others and with ourselves.
We develop an understanding of patterns—that, while we may not be able to control—we might have missed when absorbed with people, places, and things.
Patterns = data.
Not all information is good, necessary, or relevant. But, it can often tell the truth of a story—leaving us to choose to remain embedded IN it or stand ON it.
Reading it, if you will, with clear eyes even IF they moisten.
It’s in the solitude that we can break into change, movement, acceptance, forgiveness, and compassion and lay a new foundation upon which evolved pillars may erect.
