Mothers

Soon, social medial will flood with Mother’s Day messages. I want to get ahead of the curve and share some heartfelt thoughts for those who need them.

First and foremost, a blessed day to all of you moms (DNA related or not) out there hustling, loving, encouraging, and celebrating.

Much love, respect, and admiration to you.

For those who may struggle, I have a different message for you.

You may be a mom who lost a child to physical death or the death of a relationship.

You may be missing your own mom for the same reasons. Or, celebrate another woman 𝘢𝘴 your mom.

You could be a woman who has “raised and influenced many” yet never had a child of your own. Perhaps you feel left out.

There are myriad reasons why earmarked Hallmark days may bring more sadness than joy.

My message for you?

It’s okay.

It is okay to 𝘕𝘖𝘛 be okay.

I pray that you will make space for self-care, peace, healing, forgiveness, and rest.

Permit yourself to cry if needed and to reach out for an encouraging word or support.

If people are allowed to hate for no reason, I’m allowed to love for no reason.

I am sending that love from my heart to yours.

You 𝘈𝘙𝘌 worthy.

❤️
