It’s a simple reverence. A belief that as a people, a country, we are all called to serve one another.

However, some serve at an entirely different level. Giving their hearts, minds, and sometimes their lives, so that we may enjoy the many freedoms of this great nation.

Our flag, and what it stands for, may be the source of much controversy these days, but the underlying reason it continues to proudly fly, are the brave women and men we honor today.
